Greg Alfonso

Greg’s love for building started at an early age when he won second place in a national cabinet-making competition while he was in high school. An avid entrepreneur, Greg brings more than 30 years of construction experience to South Coast Contracting Group. He is well-rounded in all aspects of construction and gained all his experience by working his way up. His eye for detail has landed numerous projects on the cover of several magazines in the southeast. He is not only well-versed in construction contract negotiations but also brings vital skills to tenant/developer build-out negotiations.

Co-Founder & Business Development

Marlon Marchena

Marlon Marchena, a first-generation American whose parents immigrated to the United States from Nicaragua, is co-founder and vice president of South Coast Contracting Group. He has worked for some of the largest general contractors in the southeast and in doing so has had the experience to manage projects of different magnitude and complexity, ranging from $1.9 million to more than $89 million. He currently holds general contractor’s licenses in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina and Alabama. He graduated with honors from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in building construction management.

Chief Financial Officer

Linda Alfonso

Linda is a native Floridian who worked in computer analysis for a Fortune 500 company for 33 years. She started working for SCCG in 2017 as our CFO. Linda has been married for 41 years and together they take care of their special needs son, Anthony. In her very limited free time, Linda enjoys lounging at her pool, porcelain painting, building puzzles, and family time.

Ruth Howard

Ruth was born and raised in Perry, FL and made her way to the Savannah area in 2012 where she has worked in the real estate and construction business ever since.. As the Project Coordinator for South Coast, she handles the day to day running of the maintenance division, in addition to scheduling field technicians on the commercial jobsites. Her passion for helping people drives her to provide excellent customer service to all of our customers and clients.

Project Manager, South Carolina Division

Wayne Crosby

Wayne took on construction as a young teenager during the summer breaks from school. He continued with construction because he knew at a young age that this is what his life career would be. He moved on from being a carpenter to become a superintendent at 20 years old ,then into project management. Wayne has over 20 years experience total in the construction field. He provides project management on commercial turn key projects in our South Carolina division. His hobbies are anything outdoors involving sports, hunting or fishing.

Wyman has been in construction for 15 years. His specialties include carpentry, dirt work, and concrete.

Jim Sator

Jim Sator was born and raised in Savannah, Ga. He left as an adult, but returned to the area in early 2019 where he joined South Coast Contracting Group. He has worked in the construction industry on Commercial, Custom Residential, and Multi Family for over 35 years. He handles projects from ground up to full completion and has managed projects from $1.2 million to budgetary ranges of over $213 million. He graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Criminal Justice and minored in Contractual Law, as well as certified in Construction Project Management. He has built customs homes that have been featured in Southern Living Magazine around Buck Head Area of Atlanta Ga. He has also worked in the corporate world building and remodeling multi-family apartments for AIMCO Apartment Investment Group and office suite concepts for REGUS Corporation.

Project Superintendent

Scott Winkler

Scott, born and raised in Maryland, grew up around the automotive and commercial development businesses owned by his family. He attended and graduated from Wyoming Technical Institute in 2005 with certificates in Automotive Repair, MIG and TIG welding, Chassis Fabrication and Suspension Design. He joined his families automotive business, Winkler Automotive, Inc., as a Service Technician and by 2009 he had worked his way up to Service Manager. In 2010 he entered the U.S. Army as a Medic and quickly rose into the Corps of Non-Commissioned Officers earning the rank of Sergeant. He served in Afghanistan and East Africa with the 3rd Infantry Division in the Global War on Terror. He was medically Retired from the Army in 2017 and attended Georgia Southern University with a concentration in Cell and Molecular Biology before joining the South Coast team in 2018. His specialties and hobbies include finish carpentry, fine woodwork, cabinetry and steel fabrication.

Project Superintendent/ Quality Control

Kevin Combs

Kevin started his construction career in Virginia as a general laborer/carpenter. Over the course of 1.5 yrs. it was evident that Kevin possessed the talent and drive that many of his counterparts didn’t. By 20 years of age Kevin was promoted to superintendent and his first project he would oversee the construction of a 3 story Post & Beam home from start to finish. In the late summer of 1992 with the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew Kevin’s heart took him to South Florida to help with the reconstruction efforts for one year. In the Spring of 1996 while visiting his parents on Hilton Head Is., Kevin crossed paths with a custom home builder where they shared their passion of Post & Beam construction and the art of fine craftsmanship. From that encounter Kevin was offered the opportunity to be involved in the construction of high-end custom homes. In 1998 he assumed the role as Project Manager where he would oversee numerous multi-million-dollar projects spread across the plantations of the Low Country. With over 30 plus years in the construction industry, Kevin has developed a keen eye for quality and attention to details while having several projects featured in local and national televised and print media.

Jennifer Hagan

Jennifer moved to Savannah at the age of 9 and attended high-school at St. Vincent's Academy, where she graduated Salutatorian of her class. She then went to Berry College in Rome, GA and then finished her B.A. at Armstrong Atlantic State University. She was the Marketing & Events Manager for Savannah Harley-Davidson for many years, and then worked as the Brand Manager for Thompson & Thompson Service Group until coming to South Coast Contracting Group in January 2020. She is an accomplished film and television actress, founder of a non-profit providing services to cancer survivors, and a mother of 2 boys.

Alison Curtis

Ali graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2009 with a Liberal Arts Degree. She worked in restaurant management for over 12 years before returning to college at South University, where she acquired her 2nd Bachelors degree, this time in Accounting. She joined the SCCG team in April 2020. She has a calico "baby" named Tiger Lily and is newly engaged!

Field Materials Coordinator

Angel Alfonso

Angel was born in Cuba and moved to the United States when he was 7 years old. Angel began working at the age of 11 in West Tampa delivering ice. He served 6 years in the National Guard, worked in the mobile home business as the VIP of Manufacturing, and then worked in the nightclub business for 40 years before "retiring" to become a private investigator and a trainer in the Food & Beverage industry. He came to SCCG as our Field Materials Manager in 2018 at the age of 80 years old. He has been married to Linda Alfonso for 41 years and loves being able to spend every day working alongside his special needs son, Anthony.
